Judging by the posts coming up with increasing frequency from both sides of the Atlantic particularly with regard to the plight of the older or elderly in care homes and some hospitals, we are in the early throes of a eugenics movement largely, but not solely concerned with taking out the older vulnerable with co-morbidities, i.e. other serious health issues which could lead to death, and certainly will if they are Do Not Resuscitate’d, and literally starved, kept from rewarding human contact, and anything which makes life worth living.
Allegedly this is happening in the UK to ANYONE over 60 in a care home or relevant hospital situation. I have seen it referred to as ‘getting rid of the useless eaters’ as per Henry Kissinger’s famous statement.
‘We live in interesting times.’

All definitions, (again) Concise Oxford Dictionary 2011 Centenary Edition. They have altered some since my 1990 edition.
EROS: 1) Sexual love or desire. 2) (in Freudian theory) the life instinct. 3) (Jungian psychology) the principle of personal relatedness in human activities. (just what they’re trying to damage and get rid of with MASKS, isolation and distancing) Associated with the Anima. Often contrasted with Logos.
Origin: Latin from Greek ‘eros’ sexual love, often personified as ‘the God of Love in Greek mythology.
THANATOS: (in Freudian theory) The ‘Death Instinct’, often contrasted with ‘EROS.’
Origin: Greek ‘thanatos,’ ‘death.’
Metaphorically, the lemmings trip (not so?) happily over the cliff. Or into the blender?
LOGOS: 1) Theologically. ‘The Word of God. The principle of divine reason and ‘creative order’. (identified with the second part of the Trinity)
2) (in Jungian psychology) the principle of reason and judgement, associated with the Animus.
Often associated with Eros.
Origin: Greek, ‘word, reason.’
ANIMUS: 1) hostility and ill-feeling. 2) motivation to do something.
3) (Psychoanalysis? surely that should be ‘Analytical Psychology) in Jungian Psychology) the masculine part of a woman’s personality. Compare with Anima.
Origin: Latin: ‘spirit, mind.’
ANIMA: 1) (in Jungian psychology) the feminine part of a man’s personality. (compare with Animus) 2) The part of the psyche that is directed inwards, in touch with the ‘subconscious.’ compare with PERSONA.
Origin: 1920’s from Latin ‘mind, SOUL.’
PSYCHE: the human SOUL, mind, spirit. Origin: via Latin from Greek ‘psukhe’ ‘breath, LIFE, SOUL.’
(Anything that compromises breath is denying the soul by DEFINITION.)
PERSONA: 2) A role or character adopted by an author or actor.
Origin: – Latin, ‘persona’ literally ‘MASK’ / a character portrayed by an actor.see Anima above.
SOUL: 1) the spiritual or immaterial part of a person, regarded as IMMORTAL. a person’s moral or emotional identity.
2) emotional or intellectual energy or intensity.(a bit confusing, this)
Origin: Old English from Germanic, ‘sawol,’ ‘saw(e)l,
SPIRIT: 1) The non-physical part of a person, which is the seat of emotions and character, this regarded as surviving after the death of the body, often manifested as a ghost. a supernatural being.
2) the prevailing or typical activity or mood. a person identified with their role or most prominent quality.
3) courage energy and determination.
4) the real meaning or intention of something as opposed to its strict verbal interpretation.
We won’t bother about whisky, other alcoholic drinks or other distractions.
Origin: Latin ‘spiritus’ BREATH, from ‘spirare’ to breathe.
MIND: 1) the faculty of consciousness and thought. 2) a person’s ability to think and reason. the intellect.
a person’s memory. a person identified with their intellectual faculties.
3) a person’s attention. a person’s ill or determination.
Origin: Middle  English through Germanic ‘gemynd’ from Anglo-Norman French, related to Latin, mens’
OK. What am I trying to do here? :
The language is telling us clearly several things, for instance: there is something called/referred to as (the) soul that they would rather were hidden, but is intimately connected to (the) breath, and have deliberately blurred the meaning as they have also done with ‘spirit, mind, psyche, etc’ Not only that, there is the  Pentagon ‘secret’ video where an extremely small audience discussed eliminating the ‘religiosity’ gene, so obviously they take it seriously.
Lose the important meanings like trees in a forest. I have only given you the most relevant meanings, not the whole blurry, vague lot.
At this point I’m going to refer back to my researches into Qabalah, about 18 years ago, in the northern foothills of the Pyrenees, where there are LOTS of myths and legends and a village interestingly named ‘Le Serpent’, and my other unpublished book, ‘The Mirror,’  which covers the group dreamwork we did, mainly in Norfolk, England between 1988 and 1997, and beyond up to the present day.
The expanded, minimum 4 overlapping level ‘Tree of Life , the Sephiroth, which is simply a schematic for exploring consciousness, contains areas that can be looked on as 3 (or more) ‘souls,’ or as ONE soul with 3 (or more) fairly distinct frequency/vibratory levels. It clearly states that animals do have a  soul, if you didn’t know that already, which they called ‘Nefesh.’ I call ‘the water/emotional soul’ They also state that the human being has ‘an animal soul, which may through deliberate faulty, inadequate programming, find itself in conflict with the only partially-glimpsed or unconscious higher frequency levels.’ The Hassidic ‘masters’ state that the soul has ‘five names’, i.e. the soul has 5 levels.  Breath and ‘the soul’ are always indivisibly linked.
G.I.Gurdjieff indeed said what amounts to that while we are born with a soul, it is undeveloped unless we CONSCIOUSLY develop it. Without it we are effectively dead while apparently living.
Next up is the ‘air soul’ ‘Neshamah,’ the ‘air soul.’
Lastly the ‘fire soul’, also called ‘Neshamah.’ I don’t know any other word for it. Energy soul. The body illusion can’t/couldn’t exist without it.
Correspondences with the emotions/water, air of water/water of air.,breath/mental/air, Ruach, (wind) (the air is breathed by everybody) and  fire/energy/and electromagnetic, edging up to overlapping or universal energetic fields. At this point you have to provide your own schematic or experiential names, terms, definitions or guidance. We can further discuss this later. As you can probably see, they are hiding rather a lot.
So let’s go back to 1993 and the glossary I wrote for the dreamwork book ‘The Mirror’ (this dream we are living in now is ‘the slow dream’)
‘Anima: originally, the word meant ‘life/the soul, the anima-ting principle’. For C.G.Jung, it meant the unconscious image of ‘woman,’ the feminine archetype within man, and vice-versa. (animus) He included ‘feeling’ in man, and ‘thinking’ in woman. It is unconsciously projected on to a person of the opposite sex.
In the sense that we use it in the dreamwork, it means ‘the feminine side of the dreamer’ if the dreamer is a man, and the male side of the dreamer, if the dreamer is a woman. In the actual dream itself, we generally apply it to the figure of the opposite sex with whom the dreamers ego ‘I’ projection (‘me’ as I recognise myself ‘normally) is chiefly interacting.
The anima/animus projection may be split into more than one part in a dream, or in different sections of a dream, thus expressing more aspects of the unconscious principle or archetype of the opposite sex (operating) within the dreamer, of which he or she needs to become aware. The psyche shows us these parts of ourselves, and how they actually operate within us, through the medium of the dream.
Archetype: the key concept, traceable as far back as Plato in origin, of an organising pattern, an arrangement of energy, movement within the psyche, giving rise to recognisable themes, motifs, symbols, myths which crop up repeatedly throughout human experience, both individual and collective, without regard to race, culture, place or period.
Archetypes and archetypical movements within the psyche influence every aspect of our experience and behaviour, but we are so accustomed to taking our lives for granted, that we do not notice the working of archetypes, effectively ‘the intent of the psyche’, unless our attention is specifically drawn to them in an area where we are able to see them reflected. Dreamwork is an obvious area in which the symbolic language and visual, visible effects of archetypes are accessible to us on an ongoing basis.
