“Every seed is awakened and so has all animal life. It is through this mysterious power that we too have our being, and we therefore yield to our neighbors, even our animal neighbors, the same right as ourselves, to inhabit this land.”
Tatanka Iyotanka – Sitting Bull – Lakota Orator, Chief, Visionary and Shaman.
February is Imbolc in my tradition. It is a time when the sap rises and renewal is at hand. Let us hope that in this time of nature’s re-invention we can awaken to our spiritual selves, and re-find the path to the One Life.
A Dose of Reality,
In the last few decades, digital reality has invaded the fabric of our lives. Crept in like a thief in the night to steal our attention, our energy – and has sucked us en masse into its electronic mind. All kinds of information is available on the web of everything and somewhere there is a strange vibrating cloud filled with the accumulated shit of the Ages. All the half truths and lies in the kaleidoscope of entries are there at our finger tips…
Meanwhile back at the ranch of everything in this fuck-up of a ‘whirled’…where the elderly stumble and suffer with broken down limbs – and a child is blown apart because of the almighty dollar.
And, while someone is being congratulated and praised for the rise in their stock market shares… a tribal member just froze to death on my impoverished First Nation Reservation.
Arguntila toka ho? Natural man – where are you?
Tribal people of the past were animists – Animism is a spiritual understanding that all manifested forms of life whether animal, vegetable or mineral are sentient and alive, and exist harmoniously in a vast sea of connected consciousness. Natural man understood that everything in this world was sustained by the same life force – the phrase Mitakuye Oyasin – All My Relations honours this connectedness – this earth based awareness.
Through observation of the natural world, Native People knew that there was a mysterious power, a glue that held all things together when in life, and released them at death. The Lakota call this power Skan Skan – the power that moves that which moves.
Skan Skan
There are five Skan fields – earth, water, fire, air and the circle of space that surrounds them. We see this archetypal symbology in the cangleshka wakan – the medecine wheel.
-and the reason human beings have five fingers and five toes is because our digits as well as being useful appliances act as sensors for the moving powers.
“If my young men work how can they dream – and what is life without a dream.” Tatanka Iyotanka – Sitting Bull
Spiritual connection
At first glance Sitting Bull’s statement would seem like a welfare wally’s dream – a recipe for idleness, but it is nothing of the kind. In fact it is a profound statement and shows a deep understanding of a spiritual connection that sadly is no longer with us today.
Native people were self sufficient. They were not debt slaves – they were free people and part of the natural order of things following the herds of buffalo in the play of opposites – predator and prey. Communing with the unseen and giving thanks for life was a daily event and Native People were connected to the earth in ways that we will never understand – with our western one sided reductionist thinking.
“The old Lakota was wise. He knew that a man’s heart, away from nature, becomes hard. He knew that a lack of respect for growing, living things soon led to lack of respect for humans too. So he kept his children close to nature’s softening influence.” Luther Standing Bear – Lakota
The non – local mind
When Sitting Bull referred to “the dream” it was not a dream in the common sense of the word but something transcendental – unbound consciousness that can exist beyond the body and mind. A state of awareness that allows us to access alternate realities complete with their own spiritual dynamics.
The knowledge and practice of entering the non-local mind is the fundamental of shamanism and enables us to influence people and events according to our intent.
Why traditional healing works
In traditional healing ceremonies, the medecine man will enter the non – local mind. In that state of awareness, he can free himself from his body and can effect not only the body of his patient, but he can also send healing energy to any person in the world regardless of distance – this is known as long distance doctoring and has special songs to go with the ceremony.
The ability to enter non – local mind can be used to find lost objects and people, see past and future events including remote viewing – as in the case of Sitting Bull who when entrained by the sun saw Custer’s cavalry ”falling into camp’.
Getting into non – local reality
To enter non – local reality is not easy in this world of ‘fast everything’. For starters we have to be aware of something fundamental before we can even start. The vast majority of human beings identify the thoughts in their heads, the voice that constantly chatters as the real self – the personality – the I am…
When we enter non-local reality our personality, the I, time and the chattering voice all cease to exist – and everything we thought of as self disappears and the real Self emerges. It can be a bit of shock to the circuitry when we find out that there are two of us living in the same body !
Non – local consciousness is only attained by a quiet mind – a mind that is still and empty of thought. This is hard to do….Shutting up the voice takes time and practice…See my article www.heartstarbooks.com/prisoners-of-the-voice/
A personal note
My first experience of non-local reality happened twenty five years ago while singing at a sundance – I went somewhere beyond time and space and identity. I knew then that something amazing had happened to me but I didn’t know what it was.
In 2013, I started sungazing per the protocols of Hira Ratan Manek. It took eighteen months to reach the maximum gaze of 44 mins and my experiences are on my blog in the articles – The Occult Sun.
One of the amazing effects of sungazing is that the mind becomes quiet – the chatter of our thoughts is instantly cut off when we become entrained by the sun. This allows for the flow of information to be downloaded from solar fields into our awareness.
Sun gazing is not to be taken lightly – it is a spiritual practice that goes back thousands of years. The practice of gazing the sun can be very dangerous both physically and spiritually if not approached in a sacred and humble manner.
I hope you got something out of the article.
Much love until next time….

February 14, 2019 at 9:48 amAwesome article Elva!
Wow!
There was a beautiful flow between the wording and the content that was a brilliant expression of the non-local mind.
Sharing!

Like we’ve talked about so often – how do you write about something that can only be experienced..and how many look for the experience?

February 14, 2019 at 10:24 amSomehow you did!
Good one!

February 14, 2019 at 1:35 pmYou put the experiences we have into words so well. Often, I struggle to share mine. I have found that, at near death, most people realize it, even if they haven’t all their lives! I just experienced this as my father crossed over. NEVER thought that man would get it but he did, and I knew he was at total peace & acceptance.

So glad to hear about your dad’s peaceful passing. Wonderful. It’s sad that we don’t find this reality earlier in our lives.

February 14, 2019 at 4:35 pmYep Mick – the hoop of the nations…but in this Age of the spiritually dead they are just other races to be conquered…and you thought you were cynical🙂

February 16, 2019 at 9:00 amLove the article Elva, although I feel sadness, where are you natural man ?
I look at my grandson recently born into this whirled and wonder, the smart technology etc
that surrounds him, the schools or wi fied..the programming.
Yet there is something beyond all this if he can keep that connection or is even
helped to reconnect to it.
I would consider a powerful dream in my twenties, which involved my deceased grandfather
as instrumental in my awakening, reconnection.
Niether influenced by religous dogma,
I was more programmed into an atheistic mindset and was thrown into questioning reality and different states of awareness.

February 16, 2019 at 10:04 amHugs Jenny🙂 Thank you.
Natural man – where are you? Yes! Where are we? As a species we have been beaten into submission – disinherited of soul. It’s time we focussed on the real enemy of mankind – the voice in our heads. The parasite who lives his world through us…and the parasite for the next round – the new controlling voice is being re-invented right before our eyes. Much love and stay tuned.

February 16, 2019 at 10:18 amIt’ s not that I am not ‘as OK’ as I ever am, I have been working on ‘LUCIFER’S TECHNOLOGISTS’ and recorded it this afternoon. I uploaded it on Brighteon just now, and will put it on YT later. The problem or reason for my immediate silence is that I have ‘technical issues about healing with ‘the Lakota,” and feel the need to tread carefully in this regard, not wishing to show any disrespect ot upset any applecarts. But I also need to be honest, loyal, and truthful to my own experience. This meant that I wanted to give it some thought/feel/see space before replying.
I am glad that your your psychic detectors picked this up even if you did not know exactly why.

February 16, 2019 at 10:37 amHugs Ariel – I got it loud and clear(Grins)
The non-local state of awareness – the basis of all shamanism belongs to us all – our native traditions are long gone – except for a few of us that adhere to the old ‘dreaming’ ways.
Much love…
Loved your last song Criminal-Eyes.

February 16, 2019 at 1:48 pmMy reply just got deleted….I’m being fought over ‘Lucifer’s Technologists.’ It was quite difficult to upload.
Take 2..I was asleep in the arbour on the second night of the 2015 Wakan Hoye Wachipi, when I realised I was looking down at the/’my’ body, which was now decorated with my face completely painted half black, half white. with a black 3/4 inch dot in the white side and similar white in the black side. My chest was dotted with similar sized blue and white circles which I understood were ‘hailstones.’
I don’t think the traditions are completely lost at your end. It’s a good thing to keep them going or the kids will only have Hollywood and media versions of where they come from.
I solved Sitting Bull’s question in about 1980.
‘You’d think that most of the world enjoyed working,
that slavery was dignity, not strife.
I’m building a career on honest shirking.
I’m going on holiday for the rest of my life.’ (Ariel 1980)
We can do a lot, local or non-local or beyond.

February 16, 2019 at 2:04 pmHugs Ariel,
I felt like I was being fought over for months – total block. Fortunately the weather over the Winter Solstice was mild – I got to gaze for half an hour each of the four days. The sun chased something off (Grins) I’m back writing again! Amazing to be able to stand barefoot on the ground in December. It’s normally below zero. The only other time I remember it being above zero was the Solstice 2012…I went to the arbour at dawn to greet the sun and watch the black knight rise. I remember finding little stones stuck to the bottom of my feet when I got back indoors…

February 16, 2019 at 2:27 pmThe problem is I know people who have small holdings. They are good, heartfelt people who ‘grow’ livestock to eat. They look after their pigs, goats, chickens as family, yet slaughter them to eat. They care for their children and worship god in their own way. They don’t philosophise, they live.
Why are you better than them? If we had to live from the stone age we would live the same, if not worse.
I have a problem understanding most of this.
I will try write an article but it may not be acceptable.
ethompson
February 16, 2019 at 3:11 pmHugs Mick. Who said we are any better than them? There many levels of understanding and if that’s where you are – that’s where you are – not saying that’s right or wrong. In a duality within hive mind matrix there will always be good and bad whether they eat meat or not…
I’m interested in the beyond visible light bus….
if it’s not your scene…was it ever?

February 17, 2019 at 7:23 amSod ‘unacceptable.’ Isn’t it UNACCEPTABLE already?

February 23, 2019 at 7:50 amAh, I am feeling human again! Thank you my friends, I am wrestling the inner blackness – them two proverbial wolves, which one do you feed! I listened to an old radio show by Crrow777 where he was saying some gaming company recorded the death screams of pigs in an American abattoir and produced them into the voices of demons for a kids’ game (didn’t say which). That released a flood of stuff that I had been holding back. I guess I am just angry, and more at myself than anyone else.
I have an idea called ‘The Shards of Mars’, relating this place with the Qlippoth. This once sacred place has become an adjunct of hell. In some traditions the Qlippoth, or Shells, are said to be emanations of Geburah or Din exclusively. Mars has a special place in our ‘mythology’ and is a particular alchemical project.
